A therapist who knows the road.

PhD, Clinical Psychologist
The journey of being human is rarely a straight road. It's shaped by unexpected transitions, complex relationships, cultural contexts, and systems that push and pull in ways that can make our struggles feel both inevitable and isolating. These elements have all been puzzle pieces in the larger picture of my life experience and shape the way I approach not only each person but also each session.
It takes immense courage to look at ourselves and our lives. It takes even more courage to trust someone else to do that with you.
There are times to be and times to take action. My therapy style frequently blends two important elements: an unconditional positive regard for our shared humanity with the concrete tools and strategies that many evidence-based therapies provide. This includes, but is not limited to, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical, and mindfulness-based strategies. It’s important to me that people can learn to identify their own needs and turn that into agency, meaning, and a greater sense of freedom.
We know the alliance built in therapy is one of the most important elements. Building and maintaining relationships is very important to me in my own life as well as in my professional life. I believe it’s an immense privilege to trust another person with your inner world. Trust is the soil where change grows.
We are living in a productivity-driven and technologically-reliant world that can often make us feel invisible, inconsequential, lost and helpless. We can easily forget our inherent value. This is something I feel is important for us all to be reminded of and to take back for ourselves. Working with me will be a process of reconnecting with your fundamental worth, respecting your unique way of being, and integrating your essential nature into a life that holds meaning for you.
It’s important to me to practice what I’m teaching and to show up for you in the healthiest space I can access within myself. So, when I’m not in the office, I can frequently be found exploring the incredible beauty of Colorado’s landscapes, learning new things (reading, podcasts, concerts, and movies), making something for myself or others (cooking, writing), or taking time to be with family, friends, or the broader Denver community. These things ground me — and, I've found, grounding is where good therapy begins.
